This is it, this was our last day in New Hampshire I started by packing up all of my clothes and put them into my suitcase after that I went down and got a good breakfast and we departed shortly after that for the airport in Boston we arrived at the airport very early I got checked in and through security within an hour and I sat down and worked on at the school work for other classes in my blog for the remainder a couple hours before our airplane departed at around 3 o’clockWhen the airplane airplane took off I was very excited because I was very anxious to get home after being away for such a long time however I am going to miss New Hampshire and all the memories that I made there. While I was in the air I was really thinking about my experience and the things that I have accomplished. When we landed I was greeted by my family who was he happy to give me a ride back to my house officially ending my trip to New Hampshire. Thank you to USF and my teacher JSM for such an amazing opportunity!

Tuesday we knew that this was going to be a very long day. We arrived at the high school to do some pole standing for the day this was going to be what we were going to be doing all day the reason for this was in order to get people to vote. Throughout the day they were many surrogates that stop by I’m behalf of the president this was very cool because there are some very high-level political officials that I was anxious to meet me in the other two interns got pictures with all of them after we were finished poll standing
Since I rejected him from the Trump rally, it was good I got the chance to actually meet Senator Scott from my home state of Florida to straighten it up!
Congressman Scalise came around lunch. Given everything that he had been through, the capitol security was very tight around him but he still came to brave the cold and tell us some amazing stories!
Senator Lydsney Grahm!
The man, the legend himself. Mr Brad Pascale, the president's campaign manager, stopped by and he confirmed that he was 6 foot 9. 5 inches taller than the President. He gave me a New Hampshire Primary worker Trump hat which Don Jr. signed later in the day which was a awesome souvenir for the trip!
The brother of the Vice President who happens to be Congressmen Pence stopped by for a while!
Patrick DuVall is a presidential candidate in the race and stopped by to say hi to his supporters as well as say hello to anyone else was there.
The Press secretary on the campaign trail Kayleigh stopped by to say hi, she was much taller in person than I thought.
Governor Sununu of New Hampshire was the first surrogate that I saw on Tuesday!
The last surrogate of the night was the best one, we were greeted by none other than Donald Trump Jr. and his wife. They stayed and talked to us for a over half and hour and thanked us for helping and standing out in the cold. I got pictures with both of them!
We were taken to Murphys tap bar for the watch party this was very cool because all of the other campaign people for the entire week that we were there were present this was going to be the very last thing that we were doing with our campaign before we left for the airport the next day we had drinks and good food and partied as we watch the returns come in. To know surprise the networks called Donald Trump as the winner for New Hampshire Republican. Everybody was very excited and happy my boss even told us that he was trying to FaceTime with the president in order to tell him what amazing jobs that we did unfortunately we could not get it set up in time because the president was busy. After the party was over we set our goodbyes and departed back to the hotel for a good nights sleep which was even better because when I got back to the hotel I ended up getting my own room that night.
Monday started out like the others, getting ready for a cold day. However it was not like the others..... Today was the day of the big rally!
Last night when we were getting the secret service walk through, they told us we had no space for anything that we might bring so don’t even bring coats. Because I was late I didn’t hear the part about the secret service not opening the building until about 12 for us workers. It was so cold this day, about 15 degrees and I didn’t bring a coat because it was one of the items they told us we shouldn’t bring so I was freezing right out of the gate. What we interns do for our campaigns is unbelievable. We got there close to 10 am and walked passed the crowd waiting to go in. There were so many people and people in tents, I couldn’t believe the amount of people here almost 11 hours in advance to see the President. We got to the workers tent and got checked in and helped to check in the volunteers. After we were checked in, we did a lot of standing around. We ran into Josh and Sean two of the other workers/interns that were about the same age as us that have been helping is throughout the week. We sat in the cold for a few hours shivering and shaking until they decided to get us in. Once inside we all got our assignments and went to work. I was stationed at the VIP entrance door and my job was to only let VIP people in to sit behind the President while he was talking. I did that for a few hours and didn’t really let anyone in. I figured as much that the VIP’s would come closer to the beginning of the time that was set for the president to talk. While I was working my door, a man approached without credentials and I turned him down of course. I later came to figure out that it was senator Rick Scott of Florida. Being my senator I felt really embarrassed, however he came back and asked if his senators pin would work as credentials. Since he was obviously a VIP, I let him in without his credentials. The rest of the night was very amazing. After work we were gathered together and put it right behind the president to watch the rally. It was a night that I will never forget this was the first time I ever met the President of the United States. He looks very different in person nothing like how I pictured. He gave a really good speech about his reelection and the things that he has been doing as president. After he left then we all did as well clearing out the arena. Later we were picked up by Jose and he took us back to the hotel to get some sleep for the next day. It was going to be a long cold one as we would be pole standing on behalf of the president.
After Vice President Pence finished his speech, it was time for the grand entrance of President Trump. They played "God Bless the USA" as we walked into the room and don't worry, I got a video of it! I loved hearing the energy of the crowd!

After he finished his speech he waved good bye to everyone! I was literally about 20 feet away from our President!

Sunday
Getting sick Saturday night I decided I need to catch up on some sleep and rehydrate myself. I woke up after sleeping in and took a shower to try and clean myself of any kind of sickness. I went down and ate and all my classmates had left already for their placements. While I was resting I caught up on homework I was missing from other classes. I was for a few hours did some phone banking so I could help my campaign while they were out doing the same thing getting out the vote and doing voter contact. Later in the day I met my teacher and we went to the SNHU Arena for me to receive a briefing on the trump rally the next day from the secret service and the campaign people. The secret service walked us around the arena showing us their expectations and layout of the area they designed for the President. After it was over we went to pick up everyone else up and went back to the hotel and got another good night sleep. I know I needed it preparing for the rally tomorrow. It was going to be a long day!

Saturday
This morning was a rough one, I woke up feeling little sick. Possibly just because I was tired but I knew I had to put on more layers today because I checked the radar and it said it was -3! I have never been in snow prior to our New Hampshire trip and was freezing with the 30 degree weather so I was so nervous to experience negative weather. After breakfast we departed to our internships. This was a day of going door to door which was even more nerve racking to me, I get to do this in the freezing weather. We met with Louis and did some work at a Dunkin’ Donuts for a few hours then headed to the doors. We were a little more prepared this time, stuffing our shoes with heat pads which I’m was the most valuable thing I discovered while I was in this state. Also putting them in our gloves however they don’t work as good because they don’t really keep the fingers that warm. Next our boss Louis dropped us off with a friend and he took us to ward 6 to do meet with some people face to face. Face to face communication is the best way to get to voters, changing/persuading people increases likelihood of about 6 percent. It was much colder today than it was when he did it before. We didn’t last very long, even our boss who lives here said no let’s just go back. We had to get picked up about 4 in order for us to attend a democratic gala dinner which i was excited for. We stopped at a Dunkin’ Donuts to wait for our teacher JSM to arrive. We got in the van and left to Manchester to the SNHU center for the dinner. This is also the place we will be at on Monday for the President Trumps rally. When we were inside we were suppose to sit with the candidate we supported however not aligning with any of them I choose to sit at the Deval Patrick section since it was empty. One of the workers told me I could sit anywhere I wanted which is why I was angry to here a Deval employee tell me I couldn’t sit there. He said he reserved the seats which was a lie according to the stadium employee. So I left and sat in the Mayor Pete section since it was closest to the stage. While I was seated I met a man who was happy to see a college student at an event like this. We talked for a while and he eventually asked me who I was voting for. I told him and he did not get upset like usual however he asked me policy questions and concerns he had. We talked very professionally and it was really refreshing. A few others joined in and it was a nice educated talk. I even think I persuaded one of them over to the other side. The event started and Mayor Pete spoke first. He spoke about his policy ideas and visions he had for the country. It was my first time seeing a majority of the candidates. The next person to talk was Amy Klobuchar. She did pretty much the same style of speech. Next was former Vice President Joe Biden. This was really cool because I had never met a government official of such high rank as the Vice President. He didn’t really give a good speech in my opinion though. Didn’t talk much of substance which is what I am searching for. Andrew Yang came on next and gave an incredible speech. It was all substance and his ideals of how to live the country forward. The crowd wasn’t into it as much as me I think. But still out of all the people up there, I give him credit for getting his message out there. Tom Styer went on next and I was not impressed. I had seen him and Amy Klobuchar a few days prior at the youth climate town hall and they basically said the exact same speech making me feel like they are just regurgitating talking points. When Elizabeth warren took the stage, the crowd went insane, exposing in Applause. She talked about her plan for Medicare which is the cornerstone of her campaign. Though I liked her speech, the next candidate Bernie Sanders has tons more enthusiasm. Seemed to me that everything he said had a standing ovation. He talked about blaming billionaires and a broken system as well as offering college tuition and his other usual points. Seems he has been on this path for 30 years. And finally the last one and my favorite candidate in the Democratic side was Tulsi Gabbard, i don’t know why but she looks very different in person than on tv. At this point so many of the people in the stands have gone. Once she was gone I ran over to the other side and got a high five.
Once the event started, the candidates came out to meet everyone. This is the list of the people that I thought were interesting to listen speak!
They are all amazing people and great speakers, they all talked about why they believe they should be
Since the event is over I walked outside in hopes of finding a classmates which I did and waiting by the vans with them. Most of them were drunk. We went back to the hotel and I was starving because I didn’t eat thinking we were after. So I ordered food and went to bed. Being so late when I ate, I got sick and had to stay back on Sunday. It was a real bummer night
This morning was one of the colder ones, when we woke up from the hotel I could see the snow building up on the ground from the window. It was exciting as well as terrifying because was my first time seeing snow in my adult life and I was not sure that I brought enough clothes for snow to keep getting worse. We left the hotel and traveled to a coffee shop across the street from city hall which is where we were going to meet our boss Louis. We got coffee and took a picture in front of the New Hampshire sign. Once we were finished with our coffee, we went to city hall and found out people
We started to gather all the Trump signs and materials we needed to do a political sign waving in support of the President. Once we were all set up and everyone got there we began the event. Basically all we did was cast chants and waive signs in hopes people will see it and get people to vote for Trump. The news showed up and I took a few interviews explaining why I am doing this on behalf of the president. We were out there for the majority of the morning. While we where there I met some other people that were there for the same reasons we were. There was a group of Vietnamese women there who were imprisioned in their home country and found refuse here due to President Trump. These kinds of stories made me feel determined as ever to keep doing this on behalf of this man. W had many people honk and scream “Go Trump” from their cars. It was fun and exciting but we were standing on ice the whole time so I was freezing to death!
After we were done we went to Murphy’s to warm up and get some food, I was very happy to get out of the cold. I laid on the restaurant floor by the fire to dry myself. After a few hours of warming up and eating some really good wings then we set out with Josh, one of the field supervisors and went knocking on doors for a few hours. It stated to snow while we were knocking and it got worse the longer we were out there. At one point we were walking up hill and the wind was blowing in our faces. We all agreed that this picture of sponge bob referenced it very well with the exception of it being snow. I learned quickly the difference between sleet, freezing rain and snow in the matter of one hour.
After we froze to death door knocking…… We traveled back to Grandma’s house and did phone banking the rest of the day then we were picked up and I went to bed as soon as well got back to the hotel
When we went to pick up our other classmates, we saw they sign waving in front of the debate. It was really intense and exciting for all the people that were doing it I'm sure. I am sort of glad I did not have to do that all day since it was so cold outside
Some of my classmates got the chance to actually go to the debate and sent these pictures, I was really jealous and I was sure there experience was going to be amazing and unforgettable.
Today we started the day off by going to Saint Anselm Institute of Politics where we were given tours of the politics center of the school and got to see the event center where they do many of the town halls and debates for the candidates as well as government officials. It was very interesting and walked into the tv studio where they all prepare. We even got a funny note that all the people that come in seem to take his American flag pins when they leave. Probably because they are hard to find! haha.
There was a lot of snow on the floor when we left that day and we got back into the vans and went to our placements, today we set out to the Radisson hotel to set up for an event and arrival of the Second Lady of the United States Karen Pence!
After secret service did their sweeps, we helped set up the event center and got ready for her arrival.
These 3 are the major power behind President's Trumps campaign for this region of the United States and our my employers Bosses. It is remarkable to see them all and how much respect that have for each other. I don't see that often back home.
This is us three interns for President Trump right before the second lady arrived and gave her speech.
"The Dream Team" this is all the paid workers who made this day possible!
The Second Lady gave her speech and it was amazing, talking in detail about how we as Americans need to come together for the greater good and focus on the issues rather than fighting amongst each other. It was very inspiring to me to hear. She also went on to explain how she was lifting regulations that are hurting the middle class and campaigned a little on behalf of the President. Lastly, she went on to talk about veterans and also about veteran/ active duty spouses which is an area I have knowledge in and explained how the administration needs to make it easier to left the military spouses transfer their credentials across state lines which is necessary because they make military families leave every 2 to 4 years. Some even sooner which makes it very hard to live and get employment.
After she was done talking we got a chance to meet her which was amazing, the first public figure that I have met. She was very nice and I got a picture with her! We took some other pictures after we started tearing down and she had left. We left shortly after and went back to the hotel for some much needed rest!
