Wednesday-
So today we got up very early again to travel back to the State house in order to attend an executive council meeting and meet with the secretary of state in the building. Before we went to the State House however, we traveled across the street to the New Hampshire Youth Climate town hall to hear some of the candidates from the democratic side talk about their opinions on climate change. The first person we listened too was Amy Klobuchar. She is a senator from Minnesota and running for President. She talked about what she believes to be the result of climate change and how she thinks she can do as president to slow it down or try to prevent it.

After we left the NH Youth Climate town hall we traveled to the State House to get into the Executive Council meeting which when we got there, had found out that we had been postponed due to the governor needing to be involved in a matter with the attorney general which I later discovered was about a man who shot at a school building. While we were waiting for him to return one of the councilwomen brought us back into the senate chamber and talked to us for a while

Once we returned to the executive council chamber we got to see part of the meeting with Governor Sununu leading it. They discussed things such as appointed people with state responsibilities and accepting resignations. Also he met with a group of 4th graders that came in to say hello. 

Once the meeting was over, we went over to the secretary of state's office and met with Bill Gardner who told us he is serving his 22 term as Secretary of State for New Hampshire. He explained that part of his job is to register all the people who come to run for President. He has met everyone for decades that has come to run. It only costs 1000 dollars to run in this state or to get 10 signatures form each county which there are 10. 

After the meeting we ran back over to the Town Hall to try and catch some of Andrew Yang talk however we missed a majority unfortunately because people were talking and the group wouldn't move for a while, not really sure why. When he left the stage I went to look for him and turned around and clanked heads with him. I thought I was going to get in trouble!

After Andrew Yang left, Tom Styer came on and talked as well. He explained that he is the only candidate who says that climate change is his number one priority. He is going to try and fix and undo all the issues that have been destroying the earth for decades. He met with our class after he was done speaking and took pictures with us.

After this event was over, we went back to the GOP House and worked phones for an hour, had dinner and went back to the hotel. 

After we left the state house, we went as a class to visit the NHGOP headquarters which we have already been too, referred to as "Grandma's house." Our whole class went to hear some of the people that were running the house such as a person in charge of President Trump's campaign in the area Sev and Louis who is our boss while we are staying here. Our classmates did not like the house too much. They were very unhappy to be in the room and would not even take a picture in front of the building, I also heard some very rude conversations about the place which I think was very disrespectful. After We left the NHGOP headquarters we traveled too McDonalds, got food and went right back to the headquarters to work for the day. Louis had planned to take us to Manchester to show us around the city and learn about what was happening later in the week, including the President's Rally on Monday.

We ran into Patrick Devall's Bus but could not find him.... Bummer

We walked to a place called the Red Finger which was a restaurant that many famous people have been too over the years including Adam Sandler and President Trump before he was President.

After we left Manchester, we went to a place called Murphy's to set up for the watch party for the State of the Union happening later that night

During the watch party, we finally got some good food and met some fantastic individuals such as Don Burloc. He is running for US Senate against senator Saheen. I believe he is going to win. He is an incredible man with over 30 years in the military including after 9/11. He told us a story about how he had to take over a hill in Afghanistan on horseback. Literally killing terrorists on horseback , this man is a hero to his country and a survivor. His dog's name is Victor and he was over there as well. It was great to meet them both. Many other people talked during the event and then we watched the State of the Union. After we left and went back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.

On Tuesday, we woke up a little earlier and heading down to the state house which was located in Manchester. It was very cold and I did not have enough on because I was freezing my self to death. We took a tour of the state house with an amazing women giving us the tour. She talked about all the things that was historic about it such as the front room where the flags were literally from the battles during the civil war. We were taken to the state senate and state representative rooms where they conduct all the matters of state. We also walked by the executive council chambers as well as the governors office however no one was there.

 This gift shop is where the candidates go to put there poster and our tour guide said every candidate since she has been working on is on the wall.

I believe that it is important for every state capital to have a tribute to the lives lost in the military and to have a place where people can pay respects tp their families as well as others.

Monday was our first place at our internships, it was an adventure getting everyone form every campaign into their assignments but we managed. There are only 3 off us interning for President Trump or for the Republican party for that matter out of the 29 off us so I was sensing some contempt but I figured that was part of politics and was of no big concern. We were introduced to our boss who is only 23, one year older than me, but its okay because he is amazing and a true professional. Since President Trump is looking pretty much like the republican nominee we did not have to hit the ground running. He taught us about how campaigns work, successful ones anyway and let us ask questions. After lunch we tried to do some phone banking and we quickly discovered that it is not as easy as it seams. Their were mess ups and with the phones being answered together we also picked up that when we all talk at once, this whole phone banking thing does not work to well. We made over 200 calls each which feels like a big number. We talked about also, all the events we are trying to do this week. Including getting to work a Trump rally next Monday which is amazing and I am so excited for. After we left we heading to a restaurant to watch the democratic returns come in for the Iowa caucus however after about 3 hours there we left. Guess they didn't call anything that night which is a shame because many of my classmates stayed up til almost 2am from what I have heard.
Not me... I was definitely asleep.

Sunday night was very long because we stopped for anything you can think off. First it was about an hour drive from the airport then we dropped off our bags then headed to dinner. It was a tight squeeze at the Pizza Roma but the pizza was good. After we stopped at Walmart for an hour to get things. I thought we would be there for like 5 minutes but people bought so much I am sure they took the entire hour. Finally I thought we were heading back were I could get some rest but the class decided to stop for ice cream which I thought was odd considering it was 26 degrees out but why not right...
I admit, I had some also.

I missed a few posts so I am going to do them all at once....

I got dropped off at the airport about 9am for my flight that leaves at 11:36. Despite everyones warnings that it would takes hours to get through, I checked luggage and got through security in under 30 minutes. I even got a little food. 

The flight was very smooth however I got stuck in the middle which I hate so much. We rolled into Boston around 2:30. Getting off the plane I could already feel the temperature difference from the airport. Not really a big fan of the cold so this is going to be an adventure for me.
